The General Education Diploma (GED) preparation class is designed to prepare you to take the GED exam and earn a GED certificate from the Colorado Department of Education. This certificate can provide you with opportunities for continuing your education and expand your prospects for employment. It can lead to a better life.
The class curriculum covers the content of the four subjects that are on the GED exam:
• Language arts
• Mathematic reasoning
• Science reasoning
• Social studies
The course is a combination of classroom lecture, small-group tutoring, and e-learning.
You must be at least 17 years old to receive a GED.
Those interested need to register and pay for a class and attend a mandatory orientation.
All GED exams are administered through designated testing sites. Pueblo Community College is an authorized testing site. For testing information, call 719-549-3091.
