    Why this career might be right for me:
    This certificate was designed through collaboration with major industry partners, the Pueblo Workforce Center, and Pueblo Community College’s Advanced Manufacturing Technology Department. The Fast Track Production Technician Certificate prepares students to be Job-Ready in one semester with basic skills related to manufacturing equipment and processes. Students also complete courses that introduce them to the fields of machining, welding, and electromechanical maintenance.

    The CHAMP – TAACCCT federal grant – provides a Career Navigator to assist students with academic support and job searches.

    What Will I Learn
    The Advanced Manufacturing Technology program has been developed in response to the ever changing needs and challenges that the manufacturing industry faces. The Production Technology Certificate prepares the student with the required technical skills to begin a career in the manufacturing industry. Students learn about manufacturing processes, safety in the environment, teamwork in the industry, and print reading for machinists. Students are also introduced to specialized skills which they can pursue to advance their careers. These are skill sets in the fields of welding, electromechanical maintenance, and machining.

    The Advanced Manufacturing Technology Instructors have extensive, diverse experiences in the manufacturing industry as well as the educational environment. Many instructors are currently employed in industry and are very knowledgeable about procedures occurring within the field. Instructors are experts with “hands-on” training and providing academic support for student success.
