The Office of Recruitment focuses on a wide range of student issues: college awareness, outreach, and recruitment; student success; graduation; and alumni relations. The Office of Recruitment can provide you with information on community resources, match you with academic advisors and, generally pave the way for a smoother PCC experience. Each semester, we plan and offer free workshops and other activities to help you in school and reach your educational goals. We work with you directly to help you do the following:
- Identify your problems and needs early in the first semester, and get connected with the appropriate services.
- Contact various community organizations, such as the Pueblo Workforce Center, that can help you succeed.
- Complete scholarship applications and essays. (Click here for scholarship application.)
- Develop relationships with other students.
- Meet registration and graduation deadlines.
- Present your concerns regarding student success to PCC administrators.
- Learn about transfer and career opportunities through career fairs, presentations, and workshops.
- Solve problems with transportation, employment, school-related purchases, letters of recommendation, and basic living expenses.
The Office of Recruitment also houses the Student Ambassador program, a leadership program for current students, and can provide information on the following items:
- Awareness - Creating an understanding of college and careers - not necessarily specific to PCC. Primarily in elementary and middle school age groups. This may include attending career fairs, being a guest speaker, etc.
- Middle school career fairs
- College fairs
Community events (Cinco de Mayo at Colorado State Fair, etc.)
College awareness and planning presentations
Recruitment - Outreach to any individual encouraging him/her to attend PCC. May be recruiting for PCC as a whole or for a specific department. This includes attending special events, making presentations to various groups, direct mailings, etc.

Completion - Efforts to ensure that current students graduate. This includes informing them of the proper courses to take to graduate, assisting to overcome last minute barriers, etc.
Alumni - Working with past graduates toward awareness, recruitment, retention, completion and placement initiatives.
- The Office of Recruitment is currently working with the PCC Foundation to on establish a workable alumni database with information from past graduates
