About our Main Campus Student Ambassadors

Le Anne McDonald is attending Pueblo Community College to earn prerequisite credits required for a BSN Nursing degree.  Once Le Anne completes her prerequisites at PCC, she will then transfer to Colorado State University-Pueblo for the Nursing Program with an ultimate goal of earning a Master’s degree and becoming a Nurse Practitioner.  Le Anne feels that PCC is a wonderful choice for students because PCC has a comfortable atmosphere with genuinely nice and helpful professors, the college offers great help and assistance whenever it is needed, the smaller class sizes are fantastic for more one-on-one learning experiences and the college is cost effective.  Le Anne will always be more than willing to assist fellow students with any questions or concerns they might have.  You can contact Le Anne at LeAnne.McDonald@pueblocc.edu.

Andrea Bowen is attending PCC to earn an Associate of Arts degree with an emphasis in Secondary Education.  She has attended PCC for six semesters and really enjoys the school.  She says her teachers have been great and her classes are enjoyable.  In the future she plans to transfer to CSU-Pueblo.  You can contact Andrea at Andrea.Bowen@pueblocc.edu.

Chris Weaver is entering his second year as a PCC Student Ambassador, as well as his second year of college at PCC.  Chris is a proud recipient of the Kane Family Scholarship, which transfers him from PCC to UCCS under a full ride scholarship.  Career options for Chris include writing, teaching, and coaching.  He is very excited to return another year after an amazing eventful one, and is very eager to help students reach their full potential.  You can contact Chris at Chris.Weaver@pueblocc.edu.

Eric Schwien is attending Pueblo Community College to earn an Associate Degree in Psychology and then transferring to UNM (University of New Mexico) to earn his Bachelors Degree.  He has been attending PCC for two years now and is graduating in the upcoming spring semester. As a Student Ambassador he hopes to be a positive influence on future and current students here at the Pueblo Campus along with making the transition to college life less intimidating.  You can contact Eric at Eric.Schwien@pueblocc.edu.

Amber Johnson enrolled at PCC during her senior year at Central High School where she recently graduated in May, 2010.  As a recent high school graduate, she is fortunate to already have credits earned at PCC and Colorado State University-Pueblo through concurrent enrollment programs.  She is pursuing an Associate of Science degree at PCC and will transfer to CSU-Pueblo for her bachelor’s degree.  Amber believes PCC to be a great school for its beautiful campus, small class size and one-on-one attention from professors.  You can contact Amber at Amber.Johnson@pueblocc.edu.

Jessica Ferguson is attending her first year at Pueblo Community College and hopes to gain an Associate of Arts degree with an emphasis in fine arts. Once receiving this degree she hopes to move on to a specialty university involving fine arts and performing arts. She is very excited about being a student ambassador and learning all she can to help others be well informed about what PCC has to offer.  You can contact Jessica at
Jessica.Ferguson@pueblocc.edu.

Valencia Salas will begin her first year at Pueblo Community College in the Fall 2010.  She plans to attain an Associate of Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene and then pursue her goal to one day become a dentist.  She is very thankful to have been accepted as a 2010-2011 Student Ambassador and will be happy to assist anyone who seeks help.  You can contact Valencia at Valencia.Salas@pueblocc.edu.
