Phi Theta Kappa Mission Statement
"The purpose of Phi Theta Kappa shall be to recognize and encourage scholarship among two-year college students. To achieve this purpose, Phi Theta Kappa shall provide opportunity for the development of leadership and service, for an intellectual climate for exchange of ideas and ideals, for lively fellowship for scholars, and for stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence."
General Information
Phi Theta Kappa is the International Honor Society of the two-year college. Gamma Chi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa was organized at Pueblo Junior College in April 1939. Today our chapter is Alpha Rho Theta and was established in 1990. We are very proud of our accomplishments and appreciate your interest in our chapter. To some, Phi Theta Kappa may appear to be only a way to enhance your resume and college transcript, but it is also much more than that. Active members bond intellectually and emotionally with one another and all that they touch. Our chapter's accomplishments have been recognized regionally and internationally. Phi Theta Kappa encourages the leaders of tomorrow to make a difference today.
Membership Requirements
Membership in Alpha Rho Theta is by invitation to currently enrolled students who have completed fifteen or more credit hours at Pueblo Community College and have a Cumulative Grade Point Average of at least 3.8.
