Choosing a Major or Career Path
With the help of career counseling, assessments and information about majors, students can choose a major or a career path.
Occupational & Career Information Within the Career Library are reference materials for exploring career options and conducting a job search. These include books, files, and videos, and Focus 2 (by Career Dimensions, Inc.), the computerized career guidance system.

- Occupational Outlook Handbook (online)
"A nationally recognized source of career information, designed to provide valuable assistance to individuals making decisions about their future work lives. Revised every two years, the handbook describes what workers do on the job, working conditions, the training and education needed, earnings, and expected job prospects in a wide range of occupations."
- LMI Gateway The Colorado LMI Gateway provides easy access to information that you can use to find a job, plan a career, find labor market information or locate available programs for education and training. LMI Gateway draws on an extensive database called ALMIS (America's Labor Market Information System) that is maintained by economists and database analysts in the Colorado Labor Market Information Section.

- Colorado Department of Labor and Employment
Provides information on Colorado's economy and job market, current labor statistics, labor laws, worker/job seeker services, cost of living, occupational wages, and unemployment benefits.
- United States Department of Labor
Find information on wages, health plans and benefits, labor statistics, and many shortcuts to information and services the Department of Labor offers.
- Vocational Information Center
"Explore vocational and technical careers, check out the skills employers really want, find a trade school, research technical topics and take a look at the current job market."
