- Have you declared a course of study? Declaring a course of study is the first step in the transfer process.
ü Declaring a course of study can assist with a seamless transfer.
ü Declaring a course of study gives you the student an appropriate degree pathway.
ü Declaring a course of study helps you meet other expectations needed to transfer.
ü Declaring a course of study before you have earned 30 credits, and selecting a university is the ideal.
- The steps to declaring a course of study are:
ü Work closely with the Counseling and Career services to decide on a course of study.
ü Meet with your academic advisor to formulate your educational goals.
ü Decide and complete the appropriated curriculum guide.
- The transfer process:
ü Request all necessary documents and official transcripts from all post secondary institutions to be sent to Pueblo Community College if this has not already been completed.
ü Select and successfully complete all course work based on your selected curriculum guide and educational plan.
ü File for graduation at Pueblo Community College, review this plan with your academic advisor.
- Follow the admission guidelines for the University you have chosen to include but not limited to depending on the school:
§ Meet all deadlines for admissions.
§ Meet GPA requirements.
§ Submit and complete all Immunizations.
§ Follow the financial aid process and deadlines
§ If appropriate follow any necessary requirements for the particular professional program.
§ Meet with the appropriate university advisor to continue your educational plan.
Following these guidelines are essential to ensuring a seamless transfer process. Students should contact the Transfer Center if there are concerns or obstacles in this process.
