Study Skills
 

Students, especially new students, often struggle when they begin college.  One BIG reasons is that the student needs to improve her or his study skills.

Study skills include

COLLEGE SURVIVAL - Making the transition to college

NOTE TAKING - taking classroom and textbook notes

STUDYING - general information on ways and times to study

COLLEGE EXAMS - learning how to take the different types of college tests and exams

OVERCOMING PROCRASTINATION - completing college work in a timely manner instead of waiting to begin working until assignments are due or tests are the following day

TIME MANAGEMENT - budgeting time effectively to succeed in college AND in life

MANAGING TIME - showing how a person can manage time by defining a step-by-step process

COMPLETING MAJOR PROJECTS - organizing and completing term papers and major research projects in an effective manner

OVERCOMING TEST ANXIETY - being able to take tests and demonstrate one's knowledge without panicking or stressing
