The Counseling and Career Services department (CCS) offers an array of helpful services for students.
CCS offers counseling services that address life skills and barriers to success. We offer crisis intervention and brief counseling to help students through situations that are impacting their education and lives.
Many career services are available to students through CCS: career advising and assessment, career planning and counseling, occupational information, and job-seeking information. Counseling and Career Services office resources include occupational and job skills videos, publications and computer discs; career books and periodicals; and computerized assessment.
CCS offers many employment services, from traditional services - help with resumes and cover letters, assistance with job searches, and preparation for interviews - to training in the "soft skills" areas that employers want from prospective employees.
CCS also offers advising assistance to new students and students who are trying to decide on a major.
