What does the Career Center offer students?

The Career Center is a full service office for career development and planning.  Students can request help in many areas, e.g., assistance in choosing a major, researching careers, preparing for the job search.

Our mission

The Career Center is committed to providing services that foster self-direction and responsibility in career and life planning.  Through our resources and services we assist current students, graduates and community members in developing self-awareness, creating career goals and action plans and in learning about occupations, the job search process and self-marketing.

The Career Center offers:

  • Career Counseling for new and continuing students, alumni and community members.
  • Career computer software, including career assessment (FOCUS, Myers Briggs Type Instrument, newly revised Strong Interest Inventory, and StrengthsQuest) and paper and pencil assessments as in the Self Directed Search.
  • Career Library containing books, videos and DVDs from career exploration through job search concerns.
  • College Central Network, a database for full and part time jobs, internships, and volunteer positions.
