“At PCC, the teachers provide the opportunity to thrive.”

Luke Phillips is the son of a military family and lived in five different states before moving to Fountain, CO where he graduated from Fountain-Fort Carson High School with a 4.0 GPA.  Originally he thought about a career in Automotive Technology, but after some research decided to pursue a career in Mechanical Engineering.

Luke was accepted into the engineering program at the University of Colorado – Colorado Springs, but when his parents moved to Korea he decided to move to Pueblo to live with his sister and attend Pueblo Community College.  He plans on attending the UCCS upon graduation from PCC in 2015.

Luke is always busy even when he isn’t attending class.  He works 18 hours a week in the PCC mailroom and can be seen delivering packages around the campus.  On sunny days he can be heard coming and going on his motorcycle. In the winter you might find him skiing or snowboarding but in the summer you will probably find him racing motocross.  For Luke life is serious, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy it.
