    Annaliese Rychener-Peters
    Physical Therapy Student

“What strikes me most about Annaliese is her passion for helping others."

Annaliese Rychener-Peters recently received a statewide honor from the Colorado chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association.

Annaliese won the Pauline Cerasoli Academic and Clinical Excellence (ACE) Award as the PTA student of the year. In her award nomination, Annaliese’s clinical instructors made note of her compassion for patients, positive personality and enthusiasm for the PTA profession, saying, “Annaliese will become a PTA who goes out into the field and will make a great difference for patients she cares for.

"I wasn't expecting it because our class has a lot of strong individuals so any of us could have won it,” Annaliese told The Pueblo Chieftain.

Annaliese has worked as a physical therapy technician at Joint Effort Rehab in Colorado Springs for four years. She is a member of the PCC chapter of Phi Theta Kappa and is graduating with a 3.7 GPA.

“What strikes me most about Annaliese is her passion for helping others,” said Margaret Oreskovich, chair of the Physical Therapist Assistant program. “She is a kind and wonderful person who is the epitome of a team player and is respected by her classmates and loved by her instructors.”
