    Become part of a dynamic team! PCC is seeking students to represent the PCC community! The Student Ambassador Program is a leadership opportunity for students who are dedicated to serving and representing Pueblo Community College. Student Ambassadors provide campus tours, serve as PCC representatives and perform duties at various PCC campus and community events. The program provides a part-time employment opportunity while helping develop of a wide range of transferable skills that will benefit you!

    Program Benefits

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Cumulative college or high school GPA of 3.000 or above
    • Enrollment in at least 6 credit hours
    • Please Note: Students currently enrolled in high school are not eligible for work-study employment.


    Preferred Qualifications

    • Customer service experience including working one-on-one and via phone with clients/customers
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) and proficient keyboarding skills
    • Genuine interest in encouraging others to attend college
    • Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on program demand
    • Ability to work well with others on a team
    • Ability to work independently when needed
    • Ability or experience working with diverse populations


    Ambassador Appointment Requirements

    • Applicant will be interviewed by a selection committee for approval
    • Appointments will not be considered final until applicant has passed the required background check
    • Applicant names will be forwarded to the┬áChief Student Services Officer for a disciplinary clearance signature prior to final appointments
    • Current ambassadors must reapply annually
    • Selection will be for a one-year appointment
    • Final appointments will be made by the Office of Recruitment


    Job Responsibilities

    • Work with prospective students and assist them through the enrollment process
    • Conduct campus tours for individuals and groups
    • Assist with career fairs as needed
    • Assist with walk-in registration to guide new students through the enrollment process
    • Occasionally visit high schools, business organizations, service clubs, and other college meetings or activities as requested
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Office of Recruitment
    • Assist prospective students with the college awareness and enrollment process


    Work Schedule & Supervision

    • Selected ambassadors must be willing to attend mandatory training and meetings
    • Hours will average 15-20 hours per week during each semester
    • Ambassadors are required to work some nights and weekends for recruiting and public relations events


    Evaluation

    The performance of each Student Ambassador will be evaluated on a regular basis. If work performance does not meet satisfactory standards, the Student Ambassador maybe placed on probation, asked not to complete the semester,or not to reapply to the program. Students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.000 in order to remain in the program.
