    The Art of Communicating to the Masses! Visual Communications is the connections of ideas and communication through visual and artistic means. Individuals interested in developing creative visual concepts through the exciting combinations of electronic media, advertising design and branding should consider Visual Communications.

    This program teaches you to use computers and state-of-the-art software to design and develop graphic elements and produce print or electronic communication. The integrated curriculum includes in art and design, graphic arts, computer technology, and small business planning. These courses, taught on both PC and MAC platforms, provide you with an excellent foundation and many employment options in the visual communications field.

    What Will I Learn
    Be In Demand, the best of both business and creative worlds. The Visual Communications program prepares you for an entry level career in graphic design. The coursework prepares you to become a digital artist, design specialist, or entrepreneur in the field of visual communications and design. Career options range from working for a corporation as a designer or digital artist to owning your own small business.

    Visual Communications is a highly competitive field and your key to starting a career is developing industry demanded skills and a portfolio to show case your talents as a layout artist, illustrator and/or website designer. The utmost importance is stressed throughout the program in developing a portfolio and obtaining the best business practices throughout this program.

    Program Specifics. The curriculum in this program is designed to assist student in developing a foundation that gradually builds upon skills previously learned. There are a mix of available online and on-campus courses. A fall start is usually recommended, however speak with the Department Chair regarding your specific needs, there are options for individuals starting in the spring and summer semesters.
