  • Career Information
PCC’s Radiologic Technology Bachelor of Applied Science Degree Completion Program is designed for registered radiologic technologists who have completed an associate’s degree at a regionally accredited institution. The goal of the RT(R) to BAS RT(R) program is to provide each student with additional knowledge and skills and an additional imaging modality (MRI or CT) to better meet the demands of an expanding career field. Students may also choose coursework in leadership in medical imaging or teaching methodologies. Obtaining a BAS degree may also provide the lifelong learner the knowledge base to prepare them academically should they wish to pursue a master’s degree for additional career opportunities.

    What Will I Learn?
The PCC BAS is designed to provide education in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Computed Tomography (CT) as well as leadership and education in medical imaging. Many employers are seeking graduates with a bachelor’s degree and at least one additional imaging modality, this program helps students prepare for these requirements. The program is mostly online with face-to-face clinical education for MRI and CT. Graduates will be prepared to sit for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) post-primary certification in either MRI or CT. The PCC BAS in Radiologic Technology is one of only two medical imaging bachelor’s programs in Colorado.

    Program Eligibility:

    1. Graduate from a regionally accredited radiologic technology program.

    2. Pass primary certification exam in radiography from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

    3. Apply to the BAS program by June 1st.
