  • Career Information
Career paths for Engineers are extensive. There are more than 25 major specialties, including aerospace, chemical, mining and metallurgical, mechanical, architectural, electrical, and systems. Engineers apply mathematical principles and those of many sciences to the solution of practical design problems. Most engineers specialize in a particular area. The PCC curriculum provides a transferable foundation for all the major branches of engineering.

      What Will I Learn
The Pre-Engineering program is designed for students interested in studying for the engineering profession through the community college pathway. This pathway prepares students for the completion of a 2-year Associate of Science (AS) degree that meets the requirements of the statewide engineering articulation agreement with Colorado’s four-year engineering Bachelor’s Degree programs. Completion of the Associate’s Degree completes the first two years of an engineering Bachelor’s Degree, and guarantees transfer at the junior level.
