  • PLEASE NOTE: CHANGES IN THE APPLICATION CYCLE, PROGRAM LENGTH AND START DATE. Pueblo Community College Nursing program is changing the application cycle, start date and program length for the LPN-RN bridge program. A cohort will NOT be accepted for the Fall 2019 semester. The new application cycle will be September 1 – November 1, 2019 for a Spring 2020 start. Program length is changing from four (4) semesters to three (3).

    What Will I Learn
    The LPN program teaches you skills of direct patient care that you can apply in numerous healthcare settings. It offers theoretical and applied instruction in classrooms, simulated laboratories, and clinical settings. It integrates education in adult, gerontological, obstetric, pediatric, and psychiatric-mental health nursing. Your clinical learning will take place in diverse types of institutions. After successfully completing the two semesters of the program, students are eligible to write the Practical Nursing National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-PN). Successful performance on the (NCLEX-PN) awards state licensure and qualifies you for the title of Licensed Practical Nurse.

    According to the Colorado Labor Market information the mean annual wage for Licensed Practical and Licensed Vocational Nurses in Colorado in 2015 was $47,532. The estimated entry level annual wage was $39,195 and the experienced annual wage was $51,701.
