  • What Will I Learn
    The Barbering program teaches students job entry skills, customer communication, and shop procedures. Instruction includes professional ethics, business, chemistry, anatomy, bacteriology, shampoo and rinses, color theory, hair coloring techniques, chemical texture, hairstyling, hair cutting, men’s facials, shaving, OSHA regulations, sanitation, safety and Colorado laws. Clinical practice involves working on the public under supervision and parallels, as close as possible, actual shop procedures in order to prepare students for working in the field.

    Career Information
    The Cosmetology program prepares students for careers in cosmetology, barbering, hairstyling, esthetics (facial care) and manicure (nail care). Students will receive the specialized training in their chosen program necessary to be prepared for a successful career with limitless opportunities for both men and women.  Some of the career opportunities include Haircolor Specialist, Texture Specialist, Cutting Specialist, Salon Trainer, Distributor Sales Consultant, Manufacturer Educator, Cosmetology Instructor, Film or Theatrical Hairstylist and Editorial Stylist, and Salon Management. If you like to travel Cruise ships are a great way to see the world. Students learn the skills to keep pace with the fashion world and stand ready to meet the constantly changing demands of one of today's largest growing service industries. Those opportunities can provide both part time and full time employment in specialty areas. Salary ranges from $17,888.00 to $31,753.00, but if you are passionate about the industry the salary range is really up to the individual.
