  • PCC offering new classes for the first time as part of developing Pre-Engineering focus

    PCC has added several new STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) classes on the Pueblo campus for the Fall semester as part of its initiative to develop a much stronger overall program that will enable its students to transfer credits more easily into 4-year schools to pursue bachelor's degrees in those areas. This will be the first time these classes are offered, and students are encouraged to talk to an advisor to learn more about them. They include:

    • Chemistry 211 (Organic Chemistry 1 with Lab) - 5 credits. Pre-reqs: Successful completion of CHE 112 with a C or better. Offered at night.

    • Physics 211 (Physics:Calculus Based for Engineering) - 5 credits. Pre-reqs: Successful completion of MAT 201 and ENG 121 with a C or better. PHY 112 is recommended. Offered during the day

    • Math 201/202/204/255/261: Calculus I / II / III with Engineering Applications / Linear Algebra /Differential Equations with Engineering Applications. Math 201, 202 and 204 are 5 credits. Math 255 is 3 credits. Math 261 is 4 credits. Check for days and times offered. All run Aug. 18-Dec. 13.¬†
