“A Pathway to a New and Better Future”
The GED Preparation Program is offered through the Community Education Training Division & Pre-College Programs at Pueblo Community College. The GED Preparation Program is designed to assist students who are self motivated, independent learners, committed to improving their lives by earning a General Education Diploma (GED). To enroll in the GED Class, individuals must be at least 17 years old.
The purpose of the PCC GED Preparation Program is to provide an opportunity for those individuals lacking a high school diploma to earn a GED certificate. This certificate can provide individuals with opportunities for continuing their education and to expand their opportunities for employment. The GED certificate can be the beginning of a new and better life. Students are provided with instruction to help them successfully pass the five GED tests: Reading, Science, Social Studies, Math, and Language Arts Writing. Instruction in test taking and study skills as well as preparation for the Accuplacer placement exam are also part of the GED Preparation Program. Students are also provided with assistance and information about enrolling in PCC and applying for financial aid.
