The Pueblo Early Childhood Council is one of 17 Colorado Community Consolidated Child Care Pilots established by the Colorado General Assembly in 1997. The Council is a group of community agencies committed to the success of children and families.
Mission Statement: Pueblo Early Childhood Council is a diverse, active network that collaborates and advocates to enrich and strengthen the lives of children, families and the community.
Vision Statement: Pueblo Early Childhood Council supports efforts for all young children and their families to grow and develop to meet their full potential. |
Membership to the Pueblo Early Childhood Council is open to any individual, business or agency at any time. The Council meets as a whole on a monthly basis and workgroups meet as needed to develop and coordinate Council projects.

Public Awareness and Engagement Workgroup

Statement of Purpose: Provide opportunities to all community members to impact the lives of children in positive meaningful ways. |
Professional Development Workgroup

Statement of Purpose: Assure every early childhood professional, trainer, parent or community member has ample opportunity to access high quality, valuable information through a variety of settings and methods, that will impact children in positive ways. |
Family Support Workgroup

Statement of Purpose: We will enhance the quality of life of Pueblo's children in the early years by collaborating to increase the awareness of the opportunities at a time in a child's life when we can make a positive impact. |
Mental Health Workgroup

|
Statement of Purpose: We focus on the needs of families, child care providers, and pre-school teachers. Our participants provide many opportunities for building relationships in the community with others who share the same passion for healthy children. |
Health Advisory Workgroup
|
|
Statement of Purpose: We serve as a forum to exchange information about children's health issues and events. Members support one another in order to address problems and issues. |
