Aids in the Workplace
The goal of this course is to inform workers about the incidence, risks, and precautions for occupational exposure to HIV/AIDS and to provide information on fair employment practices that protect HIV-infected employees from discrimination.
Objective
This 10-hour extended program will provide for 7 hours of the 10-hour program that are mandatory. The remaining 3 hours can be any OSHA standards that apply to general industry that specifically meets the needs of the audience.
Who Should Attend
All employees.
Course Content
After completing this course, you should be able to:
- Identify facts and myths about AIDS in the workplace
- Describe approaches for the prevention of HIV/AIDS
- Describe fair employment practices as they pertain to current and prospective employees who are HIV-infected
- Describe elements of a workplace policy regarding AIDS
- Identify resources that are available to help resolve AIDS issues and concerns
