The Fremont Campus today operates at or near capacity – with close to 850 students enrolled, compared to 350 students at the building’s opening in 2001. All 9 classrooms and 3 labs are in use, especially during evening course times which are available for working students. During the last two years, we began to hold classes in “makeshift” classrooms in the Learning Resource Center, conference rooms, and common areas of the campus, along with off-campus classes at local high schools. We also regularly disrupt our learning spaces, such as the library, tutoring, and testing center, to hold community meetings, cultural events, and student activities. In order to continue to provide a high-quality academic experience and necessary support services for all of our current students and to serve even more of the community’s needs, we need to expand our campus.
