PUEBLO COMMUNITY COLLEGE

MENTORING AGREEMENT

It is very important for a mentor to understand the commitment in the mentoring relationship so that he/she can fulfill the obligations of the mentoring arrangement. This Mentoring Agreement documents these responsibilities and emphasizes the concepts of being involved, proactive and supportive of the mentee as well as helping the mentee to evaluate his or her strengths and weaknesses as a professional educator.

Therefore, I agree to enter into a formal relationship with _________________________, (print name of mentee) and will meet the number of hours and help the mentee complete the necessary activities to fulfill the requirements set forth in Pueblo Community College’s Mentor Guidelines.

_________________________________________________ Date ____/____/____

Mentoring agreement hours for contract faculty must meet the state requirements for Vocational Education credentials. Therefore, mentors and mentees are asked to decide upon the number of mentoring contact hours for this agreement within the first month of the mentee’s teaching contract. This information will be sent to the Administrative Assistant for the Mentoring Committee as soon as the decision has been made.

Should situations arise that might interfere with the completion of this agreement, please immediately notify a member of the Mentoring Committee or Administrative Assistant.

Please return this mentoring agreement to the Administrative Assistant for the Mentoring Committee. Copies of this agreement will be sent to the mentee and the mentee’s Department Chair.
