How to use... Ingenta

Ingenta accesses 12 million citations from 29,000 journals. Full text delivery online is an option, using established accounts or payments. There is also (with a paid account) the option to directly link to articles online.

Ingenta's main screen looks like this:

After typing in your search term, Ingenta will provide a list of citations with three options: (a) mark for printing or saving, (b) retrieve a summary of the article, and (c) determine full text availability. The full-text option will let you select payment options for delivery, or (if part of a library that is registered in their system) print the full text.

You may also see the option called Catchword. This is a full-text search, retrieval, and delivery system recently incorporated into Ingenta.

Ingenta is recommended as a source for citations and abstracts. The user should contact the Library staff to determine if PCC---or another library---has the full text.
