The resources of the PCC Library are useful when patrons can access, utilize, and understand these tools. It is important to know what is available and how to maximize their use, and sometimes help is needed in bridging the gap between the patron and the required sources. Individual assistance is available to patrons who need help developing research topics and identifying pertinent Library resources. Type---and duration---of assistance will vary according to the patron's needs.
Reference service will be provided in a professional and efficient manner. The purpose of reference service is to link the patron with identified informational resources so that their information concerns are answered. Information will be considered in all formats and the product will be tailored as much as possible to meet the user's needs.
Currently, the Reference Librarian is available Monday and Thursday 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m., and Friday 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. There may be slight modifications due to involvement with online research, Library orientations, and faculty responsibilities.
