Interlibrary Loan Services

Interlibrary loan is a service by which the Library obtains materials---books, periodicals, media---from non-Pueblo sources for registered PCC Library patrons. Please allow at least two weeks for the materials to arrive.

If a book is requested, specify the author, title, publisher, publication location, and date. Also specify if a specific edition of the item is required. If a journal article is requested, include the author, title of article, title of periodical, volume/issue number, date, and pages. On all requests, include the last date you need it and your Library card number (A9/91xxxxxxxx). Finally, read the Copyright statement below; by submitting your interlibrary loan request, you agree to its stipulations.

Some institutions charge a fee for lending their materials. As soon as possible, the Library will tell the requestor before proceeding. If the requestor agrees to pay the specified amount, their request will be processed. In your ILL request, state the maximum amount you are willing to pay for the requested item.

Ensure that you provide your name, address, phone number, and email address. Articles will be mailed to you, but we will notify you to pick up books or media at the Circulation desk.

"Notice: Warning Concerning Copyright Restrictions. The Copyright Law of the United States (Title 17, US Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified by law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research". If a user makes a request for---or later uses---a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use", that user may be liable for copyright infringement. This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copy order if, in its institutional judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law."
