Donations

Donations received at any PCC campus will be graciously accepted from donors, using the following guidelines.

  1. Donors will complete the PCC Library Donation Form.

  2. When the donor wants to use the donation as a tax deduction, he/she will complete the PCC Foundation Gift Agreement

    1. The original copy of the PCC Foundation Gift Agreement and the Library Donation forms will be forwarded to the PCC Foundation Office.

    2. A copy of the Foundation Gift Agreement and the Library Donation Form will be kept in the Library.

  3. The Library reserves the right to keep/discard any part of the donation. Persons responsible for collections at remote campuses can accept donations. Items received at remote campuses will be sent to the Library for further action.

Donations will be added to the collection when they:

    1. Support the PCC curriculum

    2. Support general user interest based on Library team experience

    3. Relate to Colorado/regional history or interests

    4. The PCC President specifically requests the donation be kept.

Items will not be added to the Library collection if they are:

    1. Damaged; this includes, but is not limited to: *water damage, soiled items, warped conditions, caused by sun, water, or chemicals, missing pages, or highlighted text.

    2. Complementary vendor or instructor's copies;

    3. Science, computer, health, or technology items older than 5 years
