MATERIALS CHECK OUT - GENERAL POLICY ALL USERS

GENERAL

Anyone who presents a photo ID showing their current address and verifying Colorado residency may check out materials.

OVERDUE FEE None.
OVERDUE MATERIALS

An overdue notice is sent about three weeks after the due date. If the item is not returned, a lost item notice is sent. Upon receipt of this notice, the patron will pay the replacement cost of the item or return the item. After sending the lost material notice, a HOLD will be placed on the patron’s Library records and the patron may not check out additional items until the matter is resolved.

LOST MATERIAL FEE Cost of replacement plus (if required) cost of binding if item is paperback.
DAMAGED ITEM FEE Damaged materials will be evaluated upon their return to the Library. If they can be re-bound, the patron will be charged the current rebinding fee. If the item must be replaced, the patron will be charged the replacement cost of the item.
OPTIONS If a patron chooses not to pay for damaged or lost materials, a block will be placed on their record and they will not be able to check out materials until the matter is resolved.
HYBRID COURSES

May be checked out only by persons enrolled in the course.

CHANGE OF ADDRESS

A patron who does not notify the Library of a change of address will have a block placed on his/her record until the new address is supplied.
MATERIALS CHECK OUT - PCC STUDENTS

PCC students will present a PCC student ID card and a second ID to verify name and address to check out materials. The PCC Library bar code will be attached to the student ID card.

BOOKS

Check out is 14 days per item with one (1) renewal if there is not a hold on the item.

MEDIA RESOURCES Check out is 14 days per item with one (1) renewal if there is not a hold on the item.
HYBRID COURSES Check out is one week per item.
WARNING The library is not responsible for damage that may occur to equipment when playing library media. 
OVERDUE MATERIALS

After sending the lost material notice, a BLOCK will be placed on the student’s PCC records until the matter is resolved.

Books and journal articles can be requested from pertinent libraries to meet PCC students' needs. If the lending library charges a fee, the student must agree to the charge before the request is submitted.

MATERIALS CHECK OUT – Colorado State University-Pueblo Student

CSUP students will present a valid CSUP student ID card and one additional ID that identifies residence / mailing address.

BOOKS

2 weeks (14 calendar days) per item; two (2) item limit, with no renewal

MEDIA RESOURCES

Not available for check out. May be viewed in the Library

OVERDUE MATERIALS

After sending the lost material notice, a BLOCK will be placed on the student’s Library records until the matter is resolved. The CSUP Library will be contacted for assistance in recovering the materials.

INTERLIBRARY LOAN

Not available; request from CSUP library.

MATERIALS CHECK OUT - PCC FACULTY

BOOKS

One (1) semester or until requested by another patron. Ten (10) item limit, with no renewal.

MEDIA RESOURCES

Two (2) weeks (14 calendar days), or special arrangement.

INTERLIBRARY LOAN

The Library will request books and journal articles from other libraries. If the lending library charges a fee and the faculty member accepts it, a Materials Requisition will be submitted to the Library prior to the item being requested.

EQUIPMENT

Faculty may schedule audiovisual equipment for faculty / classroom use on a first-come, first-served basis. Equipment may be picked up in AB-110C.

MATERIALS CHECK OUT - PCC ADJUNCT INSTRUCTORS

BOOKS: Two (2) week, five (5) item limit, with no renewal
MEDIA RESOURCES Two (2) weeks. 
INTERLIBRARY LOAN The Library will request books and journal articles from other libraries. If the lending library charges a fee and the adjunct instructor accepts it, a Materials Requisition will be submitted to the Library prior to the item being requested

Adjunct Instructors may schedule audiovisual equipment for classroom use on a first-come, first-served basis. Equipment may be picked up in AB-110C.

BOOKS Two (2) weeks (14 calendar days) per item; ten (10) item limit, with one (1) renewal.
MEDIA RESOURCES Two (2) weeks; ten (10) item limit, with unlimited renewals if there is not a hold on the item
WARNING The library is not responsible for damages that may occur to equipment when playing library media.

MEDIA RESOURCES Two (2) weeks; two (2) item limit, with one (1) renewal if there is not a hold on the item.
WARNING The library is not responsible for damages that may occur to equipment when playing library media.
INTERLIBRARY LOAN Not available. Make requests at the Pueblo City-County Library District.
MATERIALS CHECK OUT - COLORADO LIBRARY CARDHOLDERS
BOOKS Two (2) weeks (14 calendar days) per item; limit of two (2) items. All borrowed items must be returned before more items may be checked out.
MEDIA RESOURCES Not available for check out. May be viewed in the Library.
INTERLIBRARY LOAN Not available. Please request through home library.
