By registering, students automatically incur a financial obligation to the college in the form of tuition, fees and other charges. This money helps to cover part of the educational costs associated with going to PCC — state funding covers a larger portion — and supports a variety of student services.
The Colorado Community College System sets tuition rates, mandatory fees and lab/special course costs. The exact charges appear on the class schedule/bill. If a class is dropped before the census date, a refund of tuition and fees will be given. However, it is the student’s responsibility to initiate the refund. Two options exist: log into the myPCC Portal; or submit a class drop on the Schedule Adjustment Form to the Go!Zone Enrollment Center (719-549-3010). Please Note:
Notice: Classes must be paid for upon registration to ensure your place in the class. Drop for non-payment is September 4, 2015 for the fall semester. If you do not pay for your classes, you will be dropped from all of your classes unless you have:

To receive a tuition refund or adjustment, students must drop classes by the refund deadline listed in the Academic Calendar or on your class schedule/bill. You must authorize the drop in person by one of the following methods:
Please Note: Not attending class does not constitute a drop and students will not automatically receive a refund. Students must officially drop their courses — at the Admissions Office (CC 224) or via online or telephone registration — no later than the Refund Period shown on the Academic Calendar or on the class schedule/bill given at registration.
Pueblo Community College has partnered with Higher One, a financial services company focused solely on higher education, to bring a new method for receiving tuition refunds through the CCCS Refund Card.
PCC Students will no longer receive a paper check. Instead, you will have a choice to either have your refund direct deposited on the Higher One debit card or into your personal account. Since the CCCS Refund card will be mailed to your personal address in Banner, it is very important that students verify it is correct.
Once received, students will need to activate their card by following the instructions mailed with the card, or visiting https://pueblo.higheroneaccount.com/. Upon activation, you will be asked to select your preferred method of receiving your PCC refund. You can choose “Easy Refund” method or have funds directly deposited into your existing bank account. Students should hold on to their card. Even if you are not currently expecting a refund from Pueblo Community College, there may be a refund due to you in the future. If you throw it away or lose it, there will be a cost to replace it. To be considered a Colorado resident, a student must show proof of residency in the state for the immediate 12 months prior to the start date of the semester, and meet other requirements. If you are a new student who has been classified as a non-resident and feel you are a resident or if you are a continuing non-resident student and feel you now meet residency requirements, you must petition for this change by the first day of the semester you plan to attend. Turning in a petition does not guarantee you will be changed to resident status. If your appeal is denied and you do not drop your classes by the drop date, you will have to pay non-resident tuition.
Residents of Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wyoming qualify for a special tuition rate. WUE students are not eligible for the Colorado Opportunity Fund stipend. The student must mark on the application for admission that he/she seeks admission as a WUE student.
