Become a Student at PCC

Just follow these easy steps:
 
Student Checkbox APPLY FOR ADMISSION.
We maintain an “open admissions” policy, meaning there are no restrictions for students 16 and older and there is no fee for applying. Applications for new, re-admit and transfer students are available online through MyCommunity ED. 
 
Student Checkbox SIGN UP FOR THE COLLEGE OPPORTUNITY FUND.
Log-on to http://www.collegeincolorado.org/ – or use the link on our homepage (www.pueblocc.edu) to activate your College Opportunity Fund account (COF). (If you are not registered with COF, you will be responsible for a larger portion of your tuition costs.)
Student Checkbox APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID, IF NEED.
Pick up an application in the College Center 258 or call 719.549.3020 for more information about scholarships and grants. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/.
Student Checkbox TAKE THE BASIC SKILLS ASSESSMENT.
We place great emphasis on assessment and advising to ensure student success. The Assessment Center is in the Dr. Mike Davis Academic Building (Room 134, 719.549.3393). There is a charge for the assessment and a picture ID is required.

ATTEND NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION.
If you are a new, re-admit, or transfer student who is enrolling in six (6) or more credit hours, you must attend an orientation session prior to the start of your first semester. During orientation, you will receive valuable information about PCC policies as well as information regarding college success, study skills, time management, and services available to you. Please call 549.3030 or 549.3031 to reserve your place at the next available session. You can also sign up online at the beginning of each semester.

Student Checkbox SEE YOUR ADVISOR.
Schedule an appointment and meet with your advisor to select your classes.
Academic and career goals will be discussed and you will get help in choosing your classes.

Student Checkbox COMPLETE THE REGISTRATION PROCESS.
Enroll in your classes and pay or make payment arrangements for your tuition and fees at the Cashier’s Office (College Center, Room 237, 719.549.3212). Stop by the College Center, Room 240 to pick up your ID card and get a parking permit.
