Every applicant, when admitted/readmitted to PCC, is classified as either a resident or nonresident of Colorado for tuition purposes. PCC follows the provisions of Statutory Authority C.R.S. 23-1-105(1) and Title 23, Article 7 of the colorado Revised Statutes as amended (Tuition Classification Statute) to verify Colorado residency.
An applicant has the right to challenge his/her tuition classification by filing a Petition for In-State Tuition Classification, available in Admissions and Records, CC 224 or at the Southwest and Fremont Campuses. The completed petition, along with required documentation, must be received by the Assistant Director of Admissions and Records, Pueblo Campus, CC 224, 719.549.3085 by the established deadline for each term.
