It can also allow the blending of both career/ technical and transfer courses without the constraints of specialization. However,transferability of this degree depends upon the courses you take and the requirements of the institution to which you transfer. If you complete the requirements listed, you will receive an AGS degree with no major field specified on your transcript.

    If your educational goals include a broad range of transfer and occupational interests, the Associate of General Studies (AGS) generalist degree allows you to pursue those interests without the constraints of specialization.     What Will I Learn
    Students will acquire college credit in the general educationareas of English and Communication, Humanities, Mathematics, Physical and Life Sciences, and Social Sciences.  They will also take electives that reflect their interests and educational goals.
