This course will meet the State of Colorado requirements for ISCD certified bone densitometry operators. The requirement is for 9 hours of radiation safety training. |
5. COURSE GOAL: |
The student will be able to implement the physics principles defined in the course to ensure patient and operator radiation safety. |
6. COURSE OBJECTIVE: |
At the completion of this course, the student will be able to understand basic X-ray physics and recognize radiation protection and radiobiology concepts. |
7. EVALUATION PROCEDURES:
This course will be monitored by the instructor for acceptable progress on a weekly basis. However, for grading purposes, only one exam will be administered at the end of the course. This is a full on-line course without any seat time in a classroom. Therefore, satisfactory progress will be ensured by the use of practice exams throughout the course and a final exam for the grade.
