Your NET Test printout will have your scores. The entrance test strives to academically support you by providing diagnostic information about your basic academic processing skills. The test will identify your areas of weakness which will be necessary for success in nursing school. If you do not achieve the following scores, remediation is required prior to entrance to the nursing program.
READING 59
MATHEMATICS 69
If you did not achieve both of these scores, you will need to remediate through PLATO at the Learning Center.
Options for remediation include:
1. The ERI NET Test Study Guide. There is a copy on reserve in the PCC Library that you may use in the library. You may also purchase copies on-line directly from ERI at www.eriworld.com. The Study Guide may also be available in the PCC Bookstore.
2. Through the Learning Center at PCC, you can work on the PLATO software to prepare for the NET Test and complete remediation in math and/or reading. PLATO is a computerized tutorial software, and it can be customized to meet your specific needs for the NET Test. PLATO is free, and to get started you must go through an orientation session. To sign up, please go to the Learning Center (AB 150), or call 549-3393. Bring your NET Test score report with you to the Orientation so that you can get set up in exactly what you need.
The NET Test scores are valid for 2-years.
The NET Test is available on a drop-in basis at the Pueblo Community College Testing Center, AB 134 or FCC/SWC learning centers. The test can take up to 3-hours to complete, so you must begin the test at least 3-hours before closing time.
Payment for the NET Test can be made at the Testing Center, or at the Cashier Office. If you pay at the Cashier, you must present your receipt in order to take the test.
