1. TITLE OF COURSE: NITROUS OXIDE/OXYGEN SEDATION

2. PREREQUISITE: ENROLLED IN THE DENTAL HYGIENE PROGRAM, BIO-201, BIO-202, and DEH-123
3. RESOURCES NEEDED:
   
TEXT: Clark, Morris; and Brunick, Ann; "Handbook of Nitrous Oxide and Oxygen Sedation", 2nd Edition, Mosby Inc., 2003.
SUPPLIES: Provided by the Dental Hygiene Program
4. COURSE DESCRIPTION: Provides a working knowledge of the latest equipment and methods of nitrous oxide/oxygen sedation administration in the dental office.
5. COURSE GOAL:

This course is designed to provide a working knowledge of the latest equipment and methods of nitrous oxide/oxygen sedation administration in the dental office.

6. COURSE OBJECTIVES:
Students will be given a detailed list of course/instructional objectives on the first day of class.

Special Remarks:
A. Attendance:  Will be required for all classes with more than two absences resulting in the lowering of the final grade by grade level.
B. Tardy Policy:  A student who is late three times (enters classroom after instruction begins) or leaves early (before instruction is over) will be charged with one full absence.

9. ACADEMIC INTEGRITY:
