The Dental Hygiene program admits 15 students yearly.  The applications must be submitted directly to the Dental Hygiene program.  Applicants must meet all minimum requirements and timelines. This application is available through the Dental Hygiene Program or the PCC Dental Hygiene website. Applicants should seek advisement from program faculty for assistance with applications, minimum requirements and required general education courses for admissions.

The Process
The Dental Hygiene program is a limited enrollment health program and a separate dental hygiene application must be submitted. The application can be found under Application & Procedures.

After the February 1, 2012 deadline, the Admissions Committee will review all completed applicant files. Those meeting the minimum requirements will be notified in writing of their eligibility to be interviewed.

An on-site personal interview is required for all applicants being considered for selection into the program. (Interviews are usually held in March or April - please plan accordingly.)

The Admissions Committee determines all admissions to the program. Candidates are selected on their academic preparation and evaluation during the personal interview. Colorado residents and persons having prior dental experience are given some preference. All applicants will be notified by mail of the actions taken by the Admissions Committee.

A person not selected for admission may request in writing that the file be reactivated for the following year; however, transcripts, addresses, records, etc., will need to be updated so that information reflects the current status of the applicant. In addition, those reapplying will be subject to compliance with the requirements for that admission period.
