5. |
COURSE GOAL: |
This course meets the American Dental Association Commission on Dental Accreditation Standards for the biomedical science content. This course provides dental assisting students with coursework in anatomy, and physiology, stressing head and neck anatomy. Emphasis is placed on the relationships of these areas to the dental patient and dental operative procedures. This course is required for certificate completion of the Dental Assisting Program.
This course carries three credit hours for a total of 45 contact hours.
Transferability of credit depends on the institution to which the student plans to transfer. |
