Add to your skills and your ability to be hired. EMT-Basics who are Colorado certified are eligible to take additional training in intravenous therapy. For many employers, this is a critical job skill.
This course meets the new Colorado standards for IV therapy instruction.
Course content:
- Fluid therapy
- How to start, maintain & discontinue IV fluid therapy
- Administration of IV glucose and Narcan
- Phlebotomy (drawing blood)
- Administration of nebulized albuterol and nasal Narcan
To enter this course, you must be a Colorado certified EMT-Basic and have current immunizations. A background check and drug test are also required.
