Do you want to make a difference in someone's life?
A child chokes. Someone collapses at a sports event. A car wrecks. A woman is having a baby NOW! These and other possibly life-threatening events need a rapid medical response from Emergency Medical Service (EMS) personnel who evaluate, care for and transport the ill or injured. If you have good judgment, can handle high stress, have leadership capability and emotional stability, you can become a part of this exciting career path.
As an EMS professional, you may work for an ambulance service, fire department, in tactical EMS, critical care transport, or as an emergency department technician. If you graduate with an AAS degree, you have additional career opportunities in administration and management in the pre-hospital field.
Pueblo Community College offers initial training at all EMS levels recognized by the State of Colorado. The EMT, EMT Intermediate and Paramedic programs require a background check and drug screen before admittance. Getting Started
