Pueblo Community College is offering a certificate program for anyone wanting to learn about a popular technology tool. Geographic Information System (GIS) is a computer system that captures, stores, analyzes and displays geographically referenced information in order to map and analyze real-world problems. The program will also include knowledge of the computer-based tools needed to map, manage, analyze, display and model spatial information. These problem-solving skills currently are used by a wide range of professionals, including engineers, surveyors, forestry workers, cartographers, hydrologists, real estate agents, farmers, law enforcement officers, detectives, and transportation analysts.
Each class is fully online, with two Saturdays required
on campus per class.
Prospective students interested in the GIS courses should begin by filling out a free application for admission online at pueblocc.edu or go to the Admissions Office at PCC.
The certificate program can be finished within one year. Click here for a detailed descriptions of each course.
