Pueblo Community College is offering a certificate program for anyone wanting to learn about a popular technology tool. Geographic Information System (GIS) is a computer system that captures, stores, analyzes and displays geographically referenced information in order to map and analyze real-world problems. The program will also include knowledge of the computer-based tools needed to map, manage, analyze, display and model spatial information. These problem-solving skills currently are used by a wide range of professionals, including engineers, surveyors, forestry workers, cartographers, hydrologists, real estate agents, farmers, law enforcement officers, detectives, and transportation analysts.
