COURSE OBJECTIVES: |

By the end of the course, students will: |
|
|
(A) |
All General Motors STS embedded course tests must be taken and passed for General Motors ASEP students for the semester they are enrolled in. See Automotive Internship Handbook. |
|
|
(B) |
All Fundamental Automotive Systems Training (F.A.S.T.) interactive C.D., and tests must be completed by Chrysler C.A.P. students for the semester they are enrolled in. |
|
|
(C) |
The student must complete a minimum of 150 hours at a sponsoring automotive repair facility within the prescribed time frame of the semester enrolled in. |
|
|
(D) |
The student must enroll in, and take the A.S.E. (Automotive Service Excellence) Test on Brake Systems. |
|
|
(E) |
The Student must enroll in, and take the A.S.E. (Automotive Service Excellence) Test for the Steering and Suspension. |
|
|
(F) |
The student must complete a Task List of objectives the correspond to the semester of curriculum content for which he/she is enrolled. Failure to turn-in task sheet will result in a failure for this CO-OP Course. |

(G) |
Remove- service/repair a valve control body. |
|
|
(H) |
Enter diagnosis mode on a TCC and read trouble codes. |
|
|
(I) |
Remove Transmission-diagnosis-repair or replace with certa. |

(J) |
Install pressure gauge-diagnosis reading to determine complaint. |

(K) |
Reseal transmission internal leaks as necessary. |
| |
(L) |
Remove, repair/replace clutch components. |
| |
(M) |
Repair/replace hydraulic clutch controls. |
| |
(N) |
Remove manual transaxle, diagnosis, repair or replace. |
| |
(O) |
Diagnose, remove, repair/replace-engine or short block or long block. |
| |
(P) |
Remove- repair/replace-reinstall power rack and pinion. |
| |
(Q) |
Align cradle to correct 4-wheel align problem. |
| |
(R) |
Repair or service ride control as necessary. |
| |
(S) |
Pressure test power steering system to diagnose problem. |
