COURSE SYLLABUS

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This lab provides student assistance, tutoring and machine availability.  It is recommended for any student enrolled in an applications class.

COURSE GOAL:

To provide lab assistance for students enrolled in any Business Technology class.

6. COURSE OBJECTIVES:
  (A) Students will be provided access to assistance and computers in order to complete course assignments and proficiency on homework assignments.
7. EVALUATION PROCEDURES:
  A student must put in a minimum of 22 hours for one credit of lab to get a satisfactory grade.

A student must put in a minimum 44 hours for two credits of lab to get a satisfactory grade.

A student must put in a minimum of 66 hours for three credits of lab to get a satisfactory grade.

Students' grades will be determined on a satisfactory/unsatisfactory basis. 

Special Remarks:

1.

Students enrolled in a technology class requiring the use of a computer is encouraged to take a student laboratory if the student does not have a home computer.

2.

Students are not to load any personal software on any school computer.

3.

Students are not to play on the computer during lab time.  Lab is designed to help the students complete assignments in a timely manner.

8. COURSE OUTLINE
(A) Students are to report to the Learning Center and sign in for the BTE 106 lab to do homework for any class.    
(B) Students need to keep track of their own hours also on a personal calendar.  If you want to contact your instructor for your lab hours, contact tomma.parco@pueblocc.edu  or call 549-3235 or come to AB250B.
(C) The Learning Center will not total the hours.   
9. METHODS OF INSTRUCTION:
Lab time available to complete assignments from any course.

Student should contact instructor for specific help.  

Student can contact Tomma Parco, BTE Department Chair,  for additional help and information.  

10. ACADEMIC INTEGRITY:
The very nature of higher education requires that students adhere to accepted standards of academic integrity. Therefore, Pueblo Community College has adopted a policy of academic conduct as described in the Student Handbook. Violation of academic integrity may be defined to include the following: cheating, plagiarism, falsification and fabrication, abuse of academic materials, complicity in academic dishonesty, and personal misrepresentation. Sanctions for violating the standards of academic integrity may include warning, probation, suspension, and/or failure of the course or assignment at the discretion of the instructor.
