Career Opportunities
The Associate of Arts degree with an emphasis in Elementary Education prepares you to transfer as a junior to a four-year institution in Colorado in order to become an elementary teacher.

Program Description
This program introduces you to the field of elementary education. The course work comprises general education requirements common to all Colorado two- and four-year institutions. It also meets some of the Colorado Model Content standards for elementary education. Upon transfer, if you have earned the AA degree with an emphasis in Elementary Education, you will be ready to apply for admission to the four year institution’s teacher education program.

Program Requirements
In addition to the requirements listed below, you must complete 30 hours of fieldwork in EDU 221: Introduction to Education.
