Pueblo Community College is approved by the Colorado Commission on Higher Education, which approves degrees, and by the State Board for Community Colleges and Occupational Education which approves certificates. The Pueblo Community College Curriculum and Academic Standards Committee reviews and approves new programs, or changes to existing programs, before they are sent to the State Board for Community Colleges and Occupational Education for final state approval. Pueblo Community College grants Certificates of Completion (CERT), Associate of Science (AS), Associate of Arts (AA), Associate of General Studies (AGS), and Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degrees.
Each program requires a major area of concentration that is composed of a defined sequence of courses. The title and degree levels of these majors are subject to approval by the Community Colleges of Colorado and the Colorado Commission on Higher Education.
The areas of study, as indicated in the left navigation bar, are Arts & Sciences, Business & Technology, and Health Professions.
Some programs at Pueblo Community College are classified as limited-entry programs and require a separate application for admission to the program.
