New Students

The following checklist outlines the process for applying to Pueblo Community College.

  • SIGN UP FOR THE COLLEGE OPPORTUNITY FUND (COF) AT http://www.collegeincolorado.org/.  In-state resident undergraduates: 
    Colorado has money put aside for your tuition.  If you do not apply your
    tuition will be higher.  Use it - don't lose it!  For more information call
    719-549-3085 or the toll free number, 1-888-642-6017 and ask for admissions.
     

  • APPLY ONLINE through My Community Ed OR submit a COMPLETED Admissions application to the Admissions Office located in Room CC 224 (includes new, transfer, and readmitting students).  To request an application to a health program call 719-549-3280 or the toll free number, 1-888-642-6017, and ask for Kathy Stanko.

  •  ALL DEGREE AND CERTIFICATE SEEKING STUDENTS
    (excluding mini-certificates) are required to take the BASIC
    SKILLS ASSESSMENT TEST
    in the Learning Center - AB 134
    or at an alternate location.  Click here to sign up for a Practice Test for Mathematics Assessment, click here for the Study Guide for the Computer Information Systems skills assessment, and click here for the Accuplaces Online Student Guide.  The Basic Skills Assessment Proctor Form information is available by clicking here.  
     

  • SIGN UP FOR MANDATORY STUDENT ORIENTATION.  All
    new and transfer students will be required to attend Orientation
    prior to advisement and registration in an approved program or
    when taking more than six (6) semester hours.  It is highly
    recommended for re-admitting students to attend this orientation. 
    Please call 719-549-3030 or 719-549-3031 or go to Room
    AB 154 to reserve a seat.  Contact Admissions and Records for
    your assigned advisor information; undeclared students may visit
    with an advisor in AB 154.
     

  • TRANSFER STUDENTS:  Official transcripts from previous
    colleges attended must be sent directly to Pueblo Community
    College's Admissions and Records office for evaluation. 
    HAND CARRIED TRANSCRIPTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
     

  • If you know your new student ID (SXXXXXXXX) you can register online at  My Community Ed.  Your PIN is your birthday, MMDDYY- ie:
    July 01 1990 would be 070190 

  • PAYMENTS can be made any of the following ways:

    CASH PAYMENTS TELEPHONE FINANCIAL AID
    (Includes Scholarships)
    THIRD PARTY
    Cashier's office open at 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday.  The mailing address is:

       Keep in mind that no observance will be given to the postmarked date.


     
    Credit Card payments (Visa, American Express, MasterCard and Discover) are accepted by calling the Cashier at 719-549-3212 or Toll Free at through the automated system at 1-888-642-6017.  Have the account number and expiration date available.







     
    If you have received your Award Letter from Financial Aid of grant, loan, and/or scholarship funds sufficient to cover your cost of tuition and fees, this award notice is considered confirmation.  If you have not received an Award Letter you must contact the Financial Aid office for additional information.






     
    You are required to sign a Financial Responsibility Form and submit a letter of authorization to the Cashier's office,  CC 237.  Deadline date applies.
