At home it is harder to set aside time for your class work
Due to the fact that your instructor is not physically present, you will find that you are totally responsible for your learning. In order to learn successfully, you must:
- Take full responsibility for your own learning
- Keep yourself on track practicing self-discipline
- Contact your instructor regularly
- Practice be patient
- Look for assignment due dates and start on the assignment early enough to complete it on time
- Read your text as assigned
- At the start of the course read the entire course syllabus carefully
In order to develop effective study habits consider implementing the following suggestions:
- Create a regular time for study
- Find or create a quiet place to study
- Study every day rather than procrastinating
- Set regular short-term study goals for yourself each week and following them faithfully
- Plan and allocate sufficient time for testing
