Virtual Campus Update

Usage of the lab has increased due to trainings, content development and meetings.  To meet the needs of these activities the Virtual Campus Lab has been upgraded.  These improvements include a phone conferencing system, larger monitors, and updated software. Throughout the Spring semester Robin Leach will be offering interactive workshops in the Virtual Campus Lab for all faculty and staff.  We have a brand new calendar for upcoming workshops make sure you check it out by going to:
/Academics/AlternativeEducation/Faculty/Training+Calendar.htm

Robin Leach is the PCC representative on the Learning Technology Council.  The CCCS Learning Technology Council is comprised of distance learning leaders from each campus and CCCOnline.  During 2006-2007, this group organized and facilitated the migration of courses from WebCT campus edition to WebCT/Blackboard Vista.  In 2007, the group – renamed the Learning Technology Council – took on a new purpose of ongoing operational management of the common Learning Management System and strategic collaboration on new distance learning initiatives. The Learning Technology Council has brought a new level of consistency and collaboration among college distance learning programs -- ultimately benefiting students taking courses from any of the 13 colleges or CCCOnline by providing a more consistent learning experience and higher level of service.
