With the coming of March and the first days of spring 1956, the new Administration building was nearing completion. On March 16 arrangements were made to rent to the local Air Force Reserve Unit a suite of rooms in the basement comprising 1977 square feet.
The original structure was a two-car garage, to which addition was made to provide the present proportions of the Ceramics Building.

Cost of paving the circle driveway in front of the Administration Building was included in the general contract. Sidewalk construction mentioned above comprised the sidewalk down the hill from the upper parking lot by the gymnasium; also widening of the sidewalk on Orman Avenue adjacent to the building.
1956-1957
Open House for the new administration building was planned for Homecoming week and at the same time Mr. Walter DeMordaunt, Architect, was directed to start preliminary planning of the Pueblo College Center. It was decided also to construct the ceramics building and the contract was subsequently let to Hays & Kutzler.
